Said Benrahma: what’s your verdict?
Undoubtedly talented, but didn’t quite have the impact. I’m a fan still.

Now the season is over, what is the judgement?

Questions
- What are his strengths?
- Where can he improve?
- Will he eventually come good or end up Moyes £25m turkey?

Glad he finally got on the scoresheet. He needs to add a bit more power to his game

Re: Said BENRHAMA
Hopper I think the meltdown was a result of terrible timing.

Diangana had a good season in the championship, came back was having a good preseason, we need to sell to buy, too many wingers etc. So we sell an academy product (again) before gets a kick to a perceived relegation rival.

Not a surprising reaction. You may recall several players not happy either.

Given what's happened it could be said it was good business, but since we sold him for 18m because we had 'too many wingers ' then buy another winger for 25m who then goes on to have a bit of a bum season too.

Was it worth it ? Would dianga have the same impact forcus if he stayed?

Probably

A disappointing debut season.

Flashes of a good player.

Seems to have a good attitude.

Needs to improve his decision making if he is going to cut it in the premier league.

He will get a lot more game time next season. Looking forward to seeing him play in Europe. I have faith in him improving and having a much better season.

Re: Said Benrahma: what’s your verdict?
Please everyone move on Manuel has spoken its time to stop discussing the season that has just finished, our best for a while.

It's a West Ham forum, but we mustn't discuss it.

Re: Said Benrahma: what’s your verdict?
I'm not having a snide dig I'm just pointing out that others missed chances as bad too, all players do it.

You yourself mentioned his miss against Arsenal in a thread recently, was you having a snide dig.

Yes too much time as in he had time to get nervous cause he was so anxious to score, you hear pundits saying it all the time.

What West Ham supporter doesn't love a player who drives on with the ball at his feet?

It's about the same with a hard tackling defender. They are traditionally the players we've loved the most.

A couple of sad cunts on here won't change that. Next season with a stadium full of supporters collectively anticipating Benrahma's mazy runs will lift his game and he'll be brilliant.

Even the most stupid of our supporters can see his close control is amazing, surely?

Re: Said Benrahma: what’s your verdict?
Too much time, lol. You mean if it had come over quicker and he wasn't alone he would have buried it? Yea, right'o! LMFAO.

True to form you are having another snide dig at Antonio, just plain weird. If you score goals, which Antonio does, then you can miss a few. If you don't score goals and then miss a sitter it just it looks like you aren't capable of putting the ball in that big thing called the goal, so it's a daft comparison to make. All forwards miss chances.

Anyway, time to move on from still debating last season, I mean how fucking bored do you have to be.

Re: Said Benrahma: what’s your verdict?
Yeah that header was poor, had too much time I reckon.

Though not a patch on some of Antonio's misses this season. The Arsenal one springs to mind plus about 4 in one game v Palace.. A couple that were put on a plate by Benrahma.

I can't remember Benrahma missing many other clear cut chances, just wasteful long shits. I'm sure COYI will know though.

Re: Said Benrahma: what’s your verdict?
To me his confidence has definitely built over the season. He's looking more assured on the ball and has began to adapt to the difference in being the best player in a championship side to being just one of a premier league side.

That goal has hopefully got the monkey off his back. But that missed header before that the other week was poor.

Re: Said Benrahma: what’s your verdict?
COYI - yes you did say he would be an excellent signing you also said Moyes had decided that Benrahma was championship level and had got Lingard in because of that and wouis take Benrahma's place straight away. You've got some front denying it.

We had a whole discussion about it.

Re: Said Benrahma: what’s your verdict?
Not sure his end product is good enough but he deserves another season to prove himself. Hopefully it is only a lack of confidence holding him back and the management can help him work on that.

Benrahma Mad Dog, as at leaat he tries. I could never knock Benrahma's application.

Anderson on the other hand is a lazy, fraud cunt of a player who should never wear our shirt again.

Coyi

Simple question. Would you rather benrahma plays or anderson?

Come On You Irons 10:02 Sun May 30
Re: Said Benrahma: what’s your verdict?
What I did say on the Lingard thread before he signed is that he woukd be an excellent signing and would improve us. This at a time when many people on the thread were calling him shit, average, lazy, shot, a bling cunt etc. Who was right, me or them?

If you also go back to the Coufal thread I was one of the first to recognise what a great aigning he looked when I posted that during half time of his debut at Leicester.

Fact is, I'm an excellent judge of a player and I believe Benrahma is a Championship level player as I'm sure time will prove to be the case when he ends up back at that level.

I would love him to prove me wrong next season, but I'm not holding my breath on that.
